Dynamos were back in League action at the weekend against Flackwell Heath, with Dynamos last League victory coming in January.
Dynamos had an early chance as Ollie Lawford found Chris Stapleton, but he didn’t connect with his shot. At the other end, a foul by Jamie Fulton allowed Flackwell a free kick from 30 yards which James Weatherill saved with ease.
Dynamos then won a free kick as Davide Pobbe was fouled. Callum Shortt swung the ball in and Ollie Lawford hit his shot wide of the mark.
Quarter of an hour in and Terry Griffiths was in the book for a foul on the Flackwell attacker. The free kick was cleared by Paolo Bagatti as Flackwell started to dominate possession.
23 minutes and Dynamos created a half chance. Jamie Fulton played a ball down the right where Jack Aldridge was attacking, his cross found Chris Stapleton through on goal, but he had strayed offside.
A couple of minutes later and the hosts took the lead. A good cross from their right and a header was firmly planted past James Weatherill. 1-0 Flackwell.
A few minutes later Flackwell were attacking again, but Paolo Bagatti made a tackle which was late and the referee brandished a yellow card.
The free kick was swung in and Flackwell almost made it 2 with another header, this time over the bar.
However, on 33 minutes they did make it 2 goals as their midfielder collected the ball, rode a challenge and hit a superb shot into the top corner. 2-0 Flackwell.
Before halftime Dynamos had a couple of chances to half the deficit. Callum Shortt was fouled and Jamie Fulton hit a free kick onto the head of Dave Brown and the ball rattle the crossbar and away from danger. Moments later, Flackwell played out from the back, lost possession, and Dave Brown reacted quickest, but his shot was blocked for a corner.
Callum Shortt whipped the corner into the box and Terry Griffiths rose the highest but headed over the bar.
Half Time: Flackwell 2-0 AVDFC
Paolo Bagatti was replaced at half time by Will Mullarkey, pushing Jack Aldridge into centre back.
On 50 minutes Flackwell raced clear of the Dynamos defence but sidefooted the ball wide of the goal. Five minutes later and they did get the third goal to kill the match off. Some good work in the middle saw their player with acres of space, he hit a rocket of a shot past James Weatherill to make it 3-0 Flackwell and effectively game over.
On the hour mark Dynamos had a half chance as Alex Mitchell played a long ball into the feet of Callum Shortt but his shot was straight at the keeper and saved.
Things then got even worse for Dynamos as Davide Pobbe came sliding into a challenge from behind which the referee had no hesitation in sending him straight off. Down to 10 men and 3-0 down…!
Callum Shortt then made a cynical challenge on the right wing, earning himself a Yellow Card as well.
He was then replaced by Davis Haule for the remainder of the match.
82 minutes and Flackwell made it four. A lot of pressure from Flackwell finally paid off as they calmly beat the defence and keeper to make it 4-0 Flackwell.
5 minutes left and it really should have been 5 goals. James Weatherill mis-kicked a clearance which fell to the feet of a Flackwell player, he lobbed the ball over James Weatherill, but he managed to scamper back and grab the ball just before it went over the line….lucky escape.
In the final few minutes Dynamos picked up another Yellow Card, this time for Will Mullarkey for another challenge.
