The Dynamos travelled to London Colney as they tried to get their season back on track. Davide Pobbe and Gael Muyonge were starting in the midfield as Phil changed the starting line up from the mid-week disappointment at Risborough.

Within the first minute it was Dynamos on the front foot. Gael Muyonge won the ball and played Dave Brown in, his effort looped over the bar.
Davide Pobbe then had a decent free kick which was inches away from Montel Brown. London Colney had a couple of very good chances themselves inside the first 10 minutes with one shot well saved by Dan McAteer and the other was put wide with only McAteer to beat.

Less than a quarter of an hour gone and Gael Muyonge set Jake Baldwin off down the left flank, he hit a cross…which eluded everyone, including the keeper and the ball struck the post and bounced straight back into the keepers arms…! Aylesbury continued to see more of the ball and another cross from Jake Baldwin wasn’t converted by Luke Nugent and Gael Muyonge also had a shot saved. London Colney were also creating some chances and another chance was saved by Dan McAteer as he dived low to his left to save a shot.

41 minutes and Phil Granville was forced into an early substitution as Paul Adam picked up a knock and was replaced by Chris Shennan. Luke Nugent went to left back and Montel Brown went on the right wing. The away side had a couple of half chances before the half was over. Firstly a Paolo Bagatti free kick almost found Chris Shennan. Luke Nugent also sent a good ball through to Jake Baldwin but his shot was saved.

Half Time: 0-0

The first 10 minutes of the second half saw both teams starting to get tetchy with each other as a few fouls were committed by both teams.
57 minutes and a ball from Terry Griffiths was headed on by Chris Shennan into the path of Jake Baldwin, but again his shot missed the target. Dynamos were not testing the LC keeper. Next Dave Brown ran forward and played the ball to Montel Brown, his cannon of a shot was tipped over by the keeper.

63 minutes and Dynamos hit the woodwork as Chris Shennan controls Terry Griffiths ball over the top and his cross…grazed the bar and went over. London Colney had a couple of chances themselves and their pressure finally told as a long ball beats the defence and their striker slots the ball past Dan McAteer. 1-0.

78 minutes and Callum Shortt was introduced for Gael Muyonge. London Colney continued to press and Terry Griffiths was on hand to make two very good clearances with less than 10 minutes to go. 84 minutes and a corner from London Colney was steered towards the goal, but the ball rattles the post and Dan Ball made a clearance just in time.

87 minutes and the final roll of the dice saw Dan Boateng come on for Dan Ball.
In injury time, Callum Shortt made good progress on the right wing and his cross found Davide Pobbe on the edge of the box. He hit a great shot which was blocked for a corner. The resulting corner was grabbed by the keeper…dropped…and Chris Shennan was on hand to control the ball but the keeper came steaming through him, completely taking him out and the referee awarded a free kick to the keeper? Strangest decision of the match (and there were a few…) but Shennan was clearly injured.

Final whistle went. London Colney 1-0 AVDFC.

Chris Shennan was taken to hospital where x-rays showed 4 broken ribs and 2 fractured vertebrae…! NO FOUL !!!
