Any online spectators must have felt that the game was filled with incidents as there were a total of 11 bookings, two of which resulted in AFC Hayes being left with only 9 men on the pitch, but in truth most of the bookings were harsh.

Aylesbury stepped out in the new silver away kit, and within a few minutes of the start of the game Jerome Federico mad a blistering run down the left and crossed to Lamar Simpson who was brought down by the Hayes keeper inside the area. Despite the shouts for penalty the referee and his assistant saw nothing and waved for play to continue. 10 minutes later Lamar Simpson received a yellow card for an innocuous challenge, and so the bar was set.
Gareth Price skipped around a man and his shot was too high and then at the Hayes end on 19 minutes they managed to find the back of the net. A booking for Hayes saw a free kick conceded to Aylesbury but Matt Hall put it over the crossbar. 2 more bookings within 3 minutes for Ben Stevens and Davis Haule closely followed by Hayes' second goal this time a ball from the left doing the damage. Another 3 minutes and two Aylesbury corners later, and Hayes made it 3 -0. One more Hayes booking before halftime

Second half and Federico again makes a good run down the right but the Hayes keeper saves easily. Price made a run and managed to turn his player however the shot on his left foot sailed over the bar. A couple more bookings and Hayes were reduced to 10 men as their No 4 gets his second yellow. Some twisting and turning saw Simpson find his way through the Hayes defense only to have his shot turned around the post. Brian Haule replaced Jonathon Constant on 60 minutes. Hayes had a few chances on the counter attack and Simeon Charles stood his ground despite being left exposed.
Gareth Price's free kick from distance was fumbled by the Hayes keeper but cleared to safety. Down to 9 men Hayes after a player was deemed to have kicked the ball away thus receiving his second yellow. Whilst still walking off the pitch the referee blew his whistle for the free kick to be taken only to then order a retake as the Hayes player was still on the field. Almost out of a sense of embarrassment he then booked another Hayes player. The resultant free kick from Price had the Hayes keeper stretching high to his right to parry the ball over, which on any other day would have gone in. The corner kick was met by Davis Haule's head but went narrowly wide. The penultimate booking of the match went to yet another Hayes player. As the referee looked at his watch Matt Hall connected with a Price pass smashed the ball in to the back of the net to get a consolation goal. Hayes tried to keep the ball in the net and another player was cautioned before the referee blew for full time.

We lost 3 points but Hayes will financially pay heavily for their victory
