Report by April Benson
Had the Rugby defense not have been so solid, and thus keeping a clean sheet for seven games in a row, Aylesbury may well have got something from the game. Davis Haule worked tirelessly in midfield but the chances came and went for Aylesbury. Rugby had a free kick headed away and then some good inter play saw Aylesbury with another chance fall to Sonny French, but the Rugby keeper held the ball. At the other end Simeon Charles made a good save from a 30 yard effort. Rugby had a few more chances but fortunately their shots were high, wide and at not very handsome. Brian Haule tried and almost succeeded to chip the Rugby keeper with a shot from the halfway line but it went inches wide.
Aylesbury came out after the break and continued to battle hard but then Kolodynski scored the first of his hat trick with a header from a cross on 57 minutes. Rugby's second goal came 15 minutes later and then on 80 minutes Rugby put the game to bed after they saw an attempt cannon off the crossbar and then get pushed away by Charles but the Aylesbury keeper had no chance as Kolodynski followed up the rebound. The moles tried hard to get a consolation goal but their attempts were cleared away with little difficulty.
