Aylesbury's continued their good run with a hard fought win at North Greenford United, Aylesbury set off well and on 10 minutes the first effort came from Jonathan Constant. He received a ball from the right 6 yards out of goal and mis-kicked it. North Geenford got the first corner of the game but the Aylesbury defence saw it off. With 20 minutes played both Constant and Abraham delivered decent crosses but Aylesbury failed to hit the target, James Faulkner heading over the bar and Wayne O'Sullivan firing straight at the keeper. Aylesbury were struggling to stay onside for much of the game. On 29 minutes however Sonny French chased the ball across to the right and centred it for Constant who lost his man and smashed the ball into the back of the net 1 - 0. Aylesbury, despite all the pressure could not increase the scoreline.
Within a minute of the second half starting Jamie Connor saw a petty yellow for not a lot Sonny French tried a long range effort only to see it get tipped around and the resultant corner lead to nothing. The NGU players started to get a bit frustrated and had two players booked in quick succession. A mix up, just outside the NGU area saw Constant nick the ball and try his luck on goal, missing by inches. Brian Haule replaced James Faulkner on 68 mins and three minutes later French burst through the defence only to see his shot cannon back off of the upright. NGU had their best period of the game looked like they may score but Charles made a fantastic save to keep them from levelling and the counter attack once again saw French with a rampant run square to Haule who shot wide. Kurt Morlese replaced Constant with 10 minutes to go. O'Sullivan tried to increase the score but his shot went well wide.
The last five minutes of the game saw NGU throw the kitchen sink at Aylesbury with their goalkeeper coming up for both a free kick and a corner. Brian Haule ran on to a ball crossed from deep within Aylesbury's half and shot at the empty net whilst the NGU keeper was trying to get back but he was adjudged to be offside and the goal didn't stand.
Whilst everyone played well, a special mention should go to tough tackling Kwasi Frempong, who narrowly beat Sonny French to get the man of the match vote.
