On a cold afternoon at The Silver Jubilee Parkground the Dynamos were back in action against Edgware Town.

With both teams currently occupying mid-table, although The Dynamos have played less games than all of their rivals, a close game was expected.

Ben Gill started his first game since joining as part of the new management team, also making his first start was Under 18s forward Jake Baldwin. Alfie Gaspar also returned with Derek Feyi dropping to the bench with Bruno Brito and Roy Byron. Within the first couple of minutes Alfi Touceda was fouled adfter a strong tackle from an Edgware midfielder, but the midfielder eventually got back to his feet and was able to carry on.

The first few minutes were scrappy with both teams struggeling to settle, On seven minutes Joe Fitzgerald was fouled and the resulting free kick, taken by Harry Scott, hit the wall and was cleared. Moments later, captain Fitz, was involved again as he took a ball straight in the face, he looked a little dazed but was soon was back in the thick of the action.

The Dynamos were on top and a quick throw in from Jake Baldwin found Alfie Gaspar free, he took on the defence and hit his shot low but the keeper was equal to it. A couple of minutes later and it was Alfie Gaspar again who picked up a great ball from Alfi Touceda and his shot this time whistled past the far post.

With a quarter of an hour gone the ever dangerous Harry Scott swung in a long corner and Dan Wilson met the ball with a diving header, but the ball fizzed just wide of the goal with Aylesbury unlucky not to be in the lead. Midway through the first half Dan McAteer played the ball to Harry Scott who went on one of his trademark runs through the heart of the Edgware midfield, Scott was fouled twenty yards out, he was straight up and the birthday boy took the resulting free kick himself, he beat the wall, but the keeper made a comfortable save.

On twenty five minutes came the breakthrough, Alfie Gaspar again found himself with an opportunity and unleashed a great shot which was well saved, Ben Gill got to the rebound and played it back to Gaspar who happily smashed the ball past the keeper from a tight angle. 1-0 to The Dynamos. Less than a minute later and it could have been two. Alfi Touceda again the provider, this time finding Ben Gill who hit a first time shot which was tipped over the bar by the keeper.

As the half came to an end Edgware were finding more joy, the first meaningful shot by the home team was saved by James Weatherill. The Wares were enjoying a good spell but could not find a way past a resolute defensive three, with Dan McAteer, Dan Wilson and the solid Craig Carby clearing up when called upon.

Before the break, Harry Scott went close when a Lewis Merriden pass found him wide on the right and his cross almost troubled the keeper as it went just over and then Jake Baldwin controlled the ball well but his shot went over the bar.

Half time Edgware 0-1 AVDFC

Edgware came out looking more determined in the second half and instantly made an impact. The Dynamos failed to clear the ball and it fell to The Wares McCluskey who guided it past James Weatherill to equalise. 1-1. The next 10 minutes saw Edgware get a couple of corners and test James Weatherill in the away goal, but Weatherill kept the Aylesbury goal intact.

On the hour Aylesbury had another chance, a great move saw Joe Fitzgerald win the ball and play it out to Harry Scott on the right wing, he played a superb first time ball into Jake Baldwin, but the youngster couldn't bring the ball under control and the chance went begging.

With less than twenty minutes left, Dan Wilson found space and strode forward and found Ben Gill on the edge of the box, he sidestepped his marker and hit his shot just over the bar. Manager, Phil Granville, then made two positive changes to keep the pressure on. Roy Byron and Abu Khan coming on to replace Alfie Gaspar and Lewis Merriden.

The away side were gaining in confidence and Abu Khan was straight into the action winning a free kick on the left wing. Ben Gill curled it into the box and Alfi Touceda and Joe Fitzgerald rose with the Edgware defender and the ball ended up beating the keeper and giving The Dynamos back the lead.

Edgware were straight down the Dynamos end and Craig Carby got a vital tackle in and some great skill from Alfi Touceda drew a foul and a yellow card for the Edgware player. with time running out Abu Khan made a great run and played a ball into Jake Baldwin, he found room and hit a fantastic shot which the keeper parried and the defence cleared. Superb play by the young Dynamos side almost resulting in a goal.

The last action saw Harry Scott pla a ball over to Ben Gill, he beat his player and hit his effort inches wide of the far post. That was the last of the action as Aylesbury left London with all three points

Final score Edgware 1-2 Dynamos.

Man of the Match was Alfi Touceda who was busy in midfield and will “try” and claim the winning goal.
