With a number of players injured or unavailable Paul Bonham took the opportunity to inclued three U18s in his matchday squad, all of whom would get a chance at various points in the afternoon. Sutton started the brightest with Letford taking hold of the ball on the wing, he beat two players coming into the box to shoot a weak shot straight at Josh Thompson. Letford was causing lots of problems for Aylesbury and his pace was too much for the sizeable Derk Feyi who desperately headed out for a corner. Unfortunately for Sutton, nothing come of it that time.

It was all Sutton, but no clear-cut chances, until a great move saw a well hit drive from Gibson was punched behind for a Sutton Coldfield corner by Josh Thompson. The hosts headed home at the back post from the resulting corner. 1-0

At this point the Moles were at sixes and sevens at the back, with the hosts piling on plenty of pressure, two free headers. The first swiped away by Thompson with the second just over the bar. The away side though were starting to come into the game, Bruno Brito won the ball out on the left hand side, flicked it to Brian Haule who headed onto Jordan Gilbert Gilbert who had made a smart run in the middle of the park, Ty Deacon was available ahead of him but Gilbert's pass was too strong and went out for a goal kick.

Soon after Alfi Touceda released Deacon who hit a weak shot from edge of the area but it was well claimed by the goalkeeper, then a winding run from Elliot Amadieu got him to the edge of the box, he layed the ball off to Deacon who played in Haule but the big striker fell over as he looked to shoot under pressure from defenders.

The second half started the same way as the first, with Sutton straight on the attack. Nesbitt took a quick throw for Hurst to volley towards goal, this time it got deflected out for a corner. On 62 minutes, Palmer put a great ball in for Nesbitt to take the ball forward and get a shot off, but Josh Thompson again did well to save.

Aylesbury started to try and pick up the pace slightly, and hit back at Sutton with a shot from Ty Deacon which was just shy of the far post. A warning for Sutton who had not yet closed this game down. Sutton were on top when Hurst had a chance deflected out for a corner. It was met at the far post by James Hurst to head down over the line. 2-0 Sutton.
