Either injured or unavailable were Ben Stevens, Jeanmal Prosper, Grant Fryer, Danny Gordon, Kyle Anthony, Brian & Davis Haule, Aston Goss, Kieron Schmidt & Terry Dixon, so it was all the more impressive that the side were 3-0 up just ten minutes before the half time break.

Adrian Pittfield made his starting Debut at Right Back after coming on as a sub at the weekend, Rob Tomlin moved to the centre of defence to partner Adam Logie and Ben Bateman came into the side for his first start in a couple of months.

It was a quick start by The Moles when after four minutes the impressive Eddie Smith, laid the ball off inside the area for Jon Montgomery to slot home for the lead. Smith doubled the lead on twenty eight minutes when Lynton Goss was upended in the box for a stonewall penalty and the new striker slotted home past the Greenford keeper. six minutes later it was 3-0 and apparently game over. A through ball was run onto by Gareth Price who clinically finished and that should have been that.

Five minutes after the re start though and North Greenford were back in the game. A corner was palmed out by James Weatherill, but only fell to Kinsella to pull a goal back. Aylesbury were still creating chances and a nice move involving Lynton Goss, Price and Smith ended with the striker failing to get the power on the shot and the ball trickled back to the keeper. On sixty five minutes the home side bought the game back to 2-3 when a penalty was awarded after a foul by Pittfield and Hind converted the resultant spot kick.

Jon Montgomery, also struggling with an injury was replaced by coach Fraser McLachlan and it was a bit of a backs to the wall scenario for the last few minutes as the weakened Aylesbury side hung on for what eventually was a well deserved three points.
