Brian Haule's 16th League goal and 25th overall in the 82nd minute should have been enough to take all three points but a goal three minutes into injury time from Woods' Rob Hastings earned the home side a share of the spoils.
The first half was a pretty drab affair for the crowd of 373, boosted by The Woods' Community Day. There were few chances in a game that meant nothing to either side. If anything Northwood shaded the first period hitting the bar and seeing a fie save from James Weatherill. FC though also had their chances with the best a curling effort from Aston Goss that fizzed just wide.
Aylesbury though did dominate the second half with lots of pressure. Adrian Pittfield spooned the ball over after a clever Ken Feyi run. There was a disallowed goal when the Northwood keeper flapped a ball into his own net from a corner that was ruled out for a push, Danny Gordon headed just wide from another corner. Then as the game looked like it was going to end 0-0 Brian Haule popped up to head in his 25th of the season from a pin point cross from substitute Adam Logie and that should have been that, but deep into injury time a dangerous ball into the Aylesbury box was dispatched from close range by Hastings. 1-1.
