James Weatherill returned in goal having missed the last three games through injury, Ben Stevens returned to partner Danny Gordon in the centre of defence and Jeanmal Posper moved from Right Back to Midfield with Aston Goss moving back into the defence.

The pitch still had water on it this morning so a small band of volunteers were at the club early to fork and vacuum (yes vacuum) the water away in order to get the game on.

The game started quite cagiley with both sides feeling each out but although the possession was quite equal it was Beaconsfield that had the ball in the FC last third more often. Within the first 12 minutes they had two free kicks on the edge of the Aylesbury box after first Danny Murphy was penalised for a foul and then Ben Stevens suffered the same fate, although fortunately for The Moles, Stevens' foul actually appeared to be inside the box. Neither though came to anything.

FC though also had opportunities, an Ed Smith throw in found Gareth Price but his snap shot just sailed over the bar. Price had another chance on 21 minutes when he cust inside on the edge of the SYCOB box but blasted over. There were more half chances for Jeanmal Prosper and also Brian Haule but nothing clear cut for either side, but on 35 minutes the visitors took the lead, an optimistic shot from distance was deflected by an Aylesbury defender and landed at the feet of Aaron Berry who stroked home for the lead. Gareth Price should have equalised a few minutes later when a ball across the area from Haule found Price who cut inside but his shot was well tipped over by Samuel Bunting. A few minutes later though and The Moles were level, a corner from the left found Jeanmal Prosper in the box and he managed to poke home for the equaliser.

Aylesbury should have taken the lead on the stroke of half time when a Danny Murphy ball across the box found Ed Smith charging in but his half volley clipped the top of the cross bar.

The second half started with FC in more determined mood. Price drove forward, was fouled just outside the box and the resulting free kick was fired just over by Danny Murphy. Ben Bateman, Ed Smith and Price then produced some good interplay which ended with Price firing wide.

FC were now piling on the pressure, Kieron Schmidt found Brian Haule in the box, his shot was deflected, found the lively Price who cut inside a couple of defenders but screwed the ball wide. It seemed just a matter of time before the home side were going to take the lead. A ball into the box was headed back by Prosper to Smith but his snap shot was deflected wide. On 72 minutes Brian Haule had a shot saved by Bunting at point blank range and the home fans were then begining to think that all the pressure being applied was not going to lead to the goal they needed.

With just ten minutes to go SYCOB were reduced to 10 men when Callum Bunting was dismissed for a swing at FCs Danny Gordon and that was to be the turning point. FCs tails were now up and a minute later a free kick from Danny Murphy found Gordon in the box and his shot beat Bunting and nestled in the bottom corner for a deserved Aylesbury lead. Smith then found Gareth Price on the edge of the box and he finished well to make it 3-1. There were more chances for Lynton Goss and Brian Haule to extend the lead but the whistle blew and it was a well deserved three points won
