Brownie makes 100 game for Dynamos, but lose out to Potton...

AVDFC 2-3 Potton Utd

Team: Oscar Cole; Princewill Madu, Nathan Brownsword, Exaucee Buanga, Jordan Jenkins; Dave Brown, Jacob Williamson, Bakary Daffeh; Abu Khan, Alfie Anderson, Jake Baldwin
Subs: Blaaze Lawrence, Rheon Pascal, Antonio Iannelli, Aidan Ackah-Sanzar, Nabil Salum

Paul Batchelor was pleased to select the same 11 that started in the defeat of Flackwell Heath in the FA Cup, and looked to push on from that win.
This was also Dave Brown's 100th match since becoming Dynamos in 2019 (he did play a few for Aylesbury FC prior to that...!)

Within 7 minutes all was looking good as Prince managed to squeeze a cross into Jake Baldwin who got a deft touch on the ball to beat the keeper and put Dynamos 1-0 up.

On 16 minutes Potton had a great opportunity but their shot hit the crossbar and was cleared by Abu on defending duties.
Moments later Brownsword played through Anderson and his shot was just saved and cleared before Dynamos could pounce on the rebound.

22 minutes and Potton got down Dynamos left, crossed the ball in and the ball was slotted past Oscar to level the score at 1-1.
Potton then looked lively for a good 10 minute spell creating a few good chances and then on 37 minutes they took the lead with a header in the box. 1-2 Potton.

Blaaze Lawrence came on early in the second half to replace Abu. Jake Baldwin had a couple of half chances to equalise as Dynamos pushed forward.
The equaliser came from an Anderson corner which was headed home by Jordan Jenkins on the the hour mark. The next goal would probably be crucial with the score at 2-2.

Aidan Ackah-Sanzar came on for his debut, replacing Bax in the midfield and Rheon Pascal was also introduced to replace the injured Jacob Williamson.

Potton were pushing for a winner in the final 10 minutes and a great save from Oscar saw him push a decent effort round the post, however the resulting corner was put in at the far post with less than 10 minutes to go. 2-3 Potton.
Nabil Salum and Antonio Iannelli were introduced late on but Dynamos could not find an equaliser and Potton took all 3 points.

We go again on Tuesday evening at home against Dunstable Town.
