With Ben Stevens and Adam Logie unavailable Kyle Anthony returned to partner Connor Baker in the middle of the defence and Sean Sonner returned on the bench. It was a night of wind and lashing rain and not ideal for the spectators who made the journey to Communications Park.

After the excellent display at Tooting last weekend it was the home side that started the brighter of the two sides and who should have had a penalty in the first couple of minutes as Kyle Anthony appeared to bring down a Daventry forward. It was against the run of play that The Moles took the lead on 20 minutes, a lack of communication between the officials when it looked as though the linesman had flagged for a home free kick, the referee waved on play and a ball into the box fell to Sonny French who placed it beyond the keeper for what was really an undeserved 1-0 lead.

Daventry always looked dangerous and the equalising goal came right on half time when Deacon running onto a ball through the Aylesbury defence fired the ball home.

Daventry took the lead five minutes into the second half. A free kick into the box was not dealt with by the FC defence and Ricky Hill's looping header went over the stranded James Weatherill for a 2-1 lead.

Both sides had chances int he last half an hour but the best opportunities fell to Daventry as The Moles struggled with the conditions and never really looked like getting back into the game.

Aylesbury will endeavour to get back to winning ways this weekend when they travel to Egham Town.
