Screamer from Curtis seals victory - Baldwin hits 100 appearances for Dynamos !

Colney Heath 0-2 AVDFC

Team: Charlie Jones; Max Rosner, Jake Baldwin, Charlie Attwell, Terry Griffiths; Rio Deall, Antonio Ianelli, Evans Lamboh, Charlie Jackson; Abu Khan, Dan Lambeth

Subs: Jet Dyer, Cameron Cook, Curtis Brown, Lewis Workman, Justin Griffith

Won 4, Drawn 2….that is the last 6 games for Dynamos who are clearly on the up.
Jake Baldwin was playing his 100th game for Dynamos 1st team, which is a fantastic achievement for our former U18’s Dynamo.
Dynamos new American Muscle Man, Justin Griffith, had also had international clearance and was hoping for his debut from the bench.

The first Dynamos attack saw Rosner collecting a pass back from Abu and he swung in a decent cross onto the head of Lambeth but he didn’t connect properly and the ball went harmlessly wide.
On the other flank Jackson was proving a handful again and he had a cross fall to Lambeth but his snap shot went wide. Great start from Dynamos.

13 minutes and another half chance for Dynamos. Attwell brought the ball out from the back and played into Abu’s feet, he flicked into the path of Lamboh and he steadied himself and fired a low shot wide of the upright.
Lamboh then became the creator as his cross was left by Lambeth but Jackson got under his shot and it went over the bar.

21 minutes and Attwell was adjudged to have fouled a Heath player in the box and the referee awarded a penalty against the run of play. However, the penalty hit the post and Rosner was first to react and clear for a throw.
Just over half an hour played and Heath created a decent opportunity but Jones was equal to it, tipping it behind for a corner. Attwell rose the highest to clear the corner and Lamboh completed the clearance.

Before the break, Rosner got a yellow card for throwing the ball away and Heath thought they had scored the opener when a free kick went through everyone, including Jones, and Lambeth made a superb goal line clearance from under the cross bar…great defending…from the striker.

Half time: Colney Heath 0-0 AVDFC

Antonio Ianelli was subbed off at half time and Cam Cook came on into the heart of the midfield.
Lambeth won an early corner and Deall swung the ball into the box. It was cleared as far as Baldwin who was fouled. Deall was on free kick duty today and his effort went just wide of the near post. Dynamos looked in control.
A Heath player was then sin binned for dissent towards the referee, giving Dynamos 10 mins against 10 men.
On the hour mark a decent cross from Baldwin was headed goalbound by Lambeth but the keeper saved well for a corner. Deall’s corner was headed well over by Attwell. Dynamos still looked the better team.
Another decent Rosner cross saw Abu free at the back post but his header didn’t have the power to beat the keeper…it was coming…
63 minutes and Charlie Jackson was subbed off, making way for Curtis Brown.
A few minutes later and Dynamos took the lead. Attwell brought the ball out of defence and found the ever-willing Lamboh with some space. He expertly threaded the ball into the feet of Abu who turned his man and hit a low shot past the keeper. 0-1 Dynamos.

76 minutes and Abu collected a ball out and squared to Curtis Brown, 30 yards out and he hit an absolute quality shot on goal, but the keeper dived and saved it.
About a minute later Rosner won a header and it fell to Curtis Brown, he controlled and ran forward. 35 yards out he decided to have another shot…this one was even better and the rocket of a shot hit the back of the net…WOW, goal of the season contender right there. Fantastic. 0-2 Dynamos!!!

A couple of minutes later Lambeth went off and Lewis Workman came on up top.
On 84 minutes Abu Khan was taken off and replaced by Jet Dyer.
Both teams were trying to push for a goal but no real clear cut chances came.
With a minute of injury time played, Justin Griffith made his debut, replacing Evans Lamboh to see the game out.

Final score: Colney Heath 0-2 AVDFC
