Dynamos unlucky not to take all 3 points...

Crawley Green 0-0 AVDFC

Team: Charlie Jones; Jack Empson, Max Rosner, Charlie Attwell, Terry Griffiths; Rio Deall, Antonio Ianelli, Abu Khan, Charlie Jackson; Lewis Workman, Jake Baldwin

Subs: Jet Dyer, Cameron Cook, Princewill Madu, Jude Guest-Brainch

Unbeaten since 2nd January, Dynamos were without a few key players. Lambeth, Lamboh, Stapleton, Curtis Brown & Dave Brown were all unavailable, so James & Jordan made a few changes to the team. This included Cam Cook who was hoping to make his debut since signing from Newport Pagnell.

Dynamos started the match strongest and Abu had an early chance when he received a ball out from Charlie Jones and ran the length of the pitch, exchanging a 1-2 with Empson, and rolling his shot just wide of the post.
Abu was causing issues for the Crawley defence and he unlocked them again with a lovely ball to Deall who crossed but Workman’s shot went wide of the mark. Great start.
10 minutes gone and Dynamos attacking again. Empson was marauding down the left flank and he found Abu who again lined up a shot which went wide. They couldn’t get to Abu at all.

Almost 25 minutes and another great chance. Baldwin won the ball in the middle of the park and hit a great ball over the top to Abu who was through on goal. He tried to chip the keeper, but he just got a hand to it for a corner to Dynamos. Rio curled the ball into the box and Rosner rose highest but his header went wide.
Jackson then had a long range effort which the keeper tipped over the bar as Dynamos searched for that opening goal they deserved.

As half time loomed, but teams had perfect opportunities to open the scoring. 38 minutes and a harmless throw in to their No.9 saw him turn and curl an effort just over Jones bar. Close call.
42 minutes and Empson and Khan combined well again, this time finding Deall in a central position, he curled his effort into the near post and the keeper dived full stretch and clawed it away.

Half time: Crawley Green 0-0 Dynamos

The first action of the second half was Dynamos again. Jackson finding Deall, he squared to Ianelli in the centre and he hit a great ball over to Rosner who was through on goal. He unleashed a superb effort, but their keeper was again equal to it, pulling off another superb save for a corner.

A great block from Ianelli saw the ball fall to Abu on the edge of the Dynamos area. He ran the length of the pitch, outpacing his marker, only to be taken down on the edge of the box. Yellow Card to Crawley player. Deall took the free kick and the keeper saved, but spilled the ball, he grabbed at the second attempt as both Workman and Baldwin tried to get the ball.

53 minutes and the first substitution for Dynamos. Empson was replaced by Jet Dyer at left back. A few minutes later and the only Yellow for Dynamos was for Abu for a late challenge.

Over an hour played and still Dynamos looked the most likely to score. Rosner and Jackson combined brilliantly down the right side and Rosner’s cross found Abu free but his header went inches wide.
69 minutes and the Dynamos crowd got their first look at new signing, Cameron Cook as he replaced Ianelli in the midfield.
71 minutes and probably the best chance of the match so far. Jones long ball was not dealt with by Crawley and Cook nodded the ball on to Baldwin, he jinxed his way through the defence and hit a good shot which the keeper tipped over. Rio’s corner was missed by Griffiths as he came steaming in.

The best chance for Crawly arrived on 79 minutes. Jet Dyer lost the ball in a dangerous position and they played the ball through to their unmarked attacker. Just as he went to pull the trigger, Attwell came steaming in with a sliding tackle to win the ball…superb workrate to get back.

One more chance to note as Rosner played the ball to Jackson and he managed to fire a decent effort just over the bar.

Final score: Crawley Green 0-0 AVDFC
