Second place Crawley Green were the visitors to Haywood Way this afternoon and James/Jordan only had a couple of subs to play with. Jake Baldwin named but not available due to illness. Princewill Madu was on the bench hoping for his 1st team debut. New signing Lewis Workman also making his return to the club.

Dynamos had their first attack after 7 minutes with Lamboh and Lambeth combining well and Lamboh hitting his shot which was well blocked.
17 minutes and Williamson played the ball to Rosner. He moved forward, unchallenged and hit a shot which was blocked and the ball fell to Curtis Brown whose shot hit the post and away.
Some great feet from Curtis Brown saw him race towards the box and was taken down 20 yards out. Williamson hit the free kick inches wide of the far post as Dynamos looked lively.

Just before the half hour mark, Williamson again involved as he picked up a loose ball and his shot was blocked. The ball came out to Empson who controlled and hit a decent effort which was saved.
At the other end a last ditch tackle from Ianelli was enough to stop a promising attack from Crawley.

Crawley Green had a spell of possession where they hit the post as well and forced Charlie Jones into a couple of decent saves.
Lamboh managed a late effort in the half with a long range effort over the bar and Charlie Attwell fizzed a free kick wide of the mark as the first half ended goalless.

The first action of the second half saw a tackle from Williamson greeted with jeers and a yellow card, which looked harsh.
Then probably the best move of the match as Griffiths moved forward out of defence and passed to Deall, he spun round and found Curtis Brown out wide. A decent run and cross found Lambeth in front of goal with just the keeper to beat but he smashed it straight at him and it ricocheted away. Glorious chance missed.

58 minutes and another chance as Williamson shows great skill to get into the box but his shot is wide of the mark.
Crawley did have a couple of half chances which Jones saved and another went wide, but Dynamos were clearly the stronger team…just couldn’t score.

68 minutes and Evans Lamboh was replaced by Lewis Workman, for his second 1st team debut…! Dynamos were so close to the opening goal on 77 minutes as a throw from Empson found Williamson and he let it bounce and volleyed it 35 yards out, over the keeper and almost grazed the crossbar.
Less than 10 minutes remaining and Deall combined well with Lambeth to spread it wide to Workman. He skipped past a challenge but his shot was bloked.
It was all Dynamos in the last 7 minutes with Williamson having a shot blocked and a poor decision from the linesman and Workman played Curtis Brown through, clearly onside (Veo shows that) but he gave offside in the 90th minute.
With injury time almost up, the killer blow…! A weak free kick given and Crawley float the ball into the box, all miss it, and it beats Jones to give Crawley an unjust victory. Shame.
