Leverstock Green 3-3 AVDFC

It was the start of a new era this week at the club as Jordan King and James Green took over the helm as first team joint managers.
There have been a number of comings and goings over the week and the new look team took to the field in a tough match against Leverstock Green.
New signings Empson, Attwell, C Brown and Williamson all started, Dan Lambeth and Davis returning to the club and Jackson, also returning to the club, on the bench.

The early pace was set by Levy as they had a couple of decent crosses, both dealt with by Attwell. The first shot on target was also from Levy as the striker hit a shot wide of Archie’s post.
Rio Deall then picked up a bizarre yellow card in the middle of the park, still not sure what that was for.
Empson then combined with Curtis Brown and won a free kick 25 yards out. Williamson lined it up and hit the target with the keeper tipping it over the bar for a corner. Rio Deall’s corner was half cleared but Williamson picked up the ball and curled a lovely cross onto the head of Baldwin who planted his header in the far corner. Great goal. 0-1 Dynamos.
Dynamos almost made it 2 goals as Dave Brown toe-poked a ball through to Lambeth and his first time effort stung the keepers hands.
However a minute later, Leverstock were back level with a close range finish beating Archie. 1-1.

34 minutes and Ianelli wins the ball and finds Lambeth and his flick on sees Dave Brown with a decent effort which the keeper saves.
Brownie was involved again as the first half was near the end as he took a knock.

Half time: Leverstock Green 1-1 Dynamos

The management team were forced into an early change as Dave Brown was unable to continue and Charlie Jackson came on, back in a Dynamos shirt…!
Dynamos came out strong and got an early goal in the second half. A great long, diagonal ball from Attwell found the head of Lambeth and the defender headed out for a corner. Williamson swung the corner in and Griffiths scored his 5th goal of the season with a towering header into the top corner.
1-2 Dynamos.
Within 5 minutes Leverstock were back level in this topsy turvy match. A quick throw was not dealt with and Levy crossed and converted. 2-2.
A free kick given away by Griffiths saw a Levy free kick go over the bar as Leverstock looked for the lead.
At the other end, a decent move saw Curtis Brown and Baldwin combine with Baldwin hitting a long range effort which the keeper spilled, but grabbed at the second chance.
Baldwin then hit a lovely pass which Lambeth flicked onto Rio Deall, but the ball was inches too long.
Fabian Garcia then came on to replace Curtis Brown on 65 minutes.

Archie Davis was then in action as a Leverstock cross results in a decent effort on target which Archie dived to his left to grab the ball.
Both teams were now searching for a winning goal as the match had less than 15 minutes remaining. Rio Deall sent a lovely ball forward for Lambeth but he just failed to control the ball.
Jacob Williamson was subbed on 80 minutes and young Max Rosner came on at the back, moving Jack Empson further up the pitch.

Then heartbreak for Dynamos as with 5 minutes left, Leverstock had 3 shots all blocked by Attwell and Griffiths, but the ball fell to their No.9 who slotted the ball home. So unlucky for Dynamos. 3-2 Leverstock.
Leverstock then tried to run the clock down but Dynamos were not done. The Levy defender dwelt on the ball too long and Garcia was straight on him, won the ball, beat another man and crossed low and hard where Baldwin was waiting to blast it home…well deserved goal!! 3-3.
