Dynamos were back in League action against local rivals, Tring Athletic, who were flying high in the League in 5th position.
After a disappointing mid-week loss in the Premier League Cup against Shefford Town, Easty and Liam made a few changes.
New signing Jack McKenzie was straight into the line up, signing from Beaconsfield during the week. Also, Cheston Prosper, another new face, was on the bench. Jake Baldwin was deployed in his preferred position, leading the line up front.
Tring were the first to have an attempt on goal, and they can feel unlucky as they rattled the post and Hodgins cleared the ball. Lucky escape!!
Tring continued for the first quarter of an hour with good pressure and another shot forced Studley into making a decent save at his near post. A few minutes later Tring forced a corner and a half clearance from Rosner saw Tring hit a low shot on target, which Studley grabbed at the second attempt.
It was a tactical battle as both teams struggled to create many chances, but a decent match to watch. Tring had a shot whistle over the bar on 36 minutes. Four minutes later some good build up saw Fulton ping a ball to McKenzie, and his shot went over the bar.
Just before half time, Abu and Boorn combined well to create a chance for Boorn, but his effort was well saved.
Half Time: Dynamos 0-0 Tring
The second half started much as the first finished with both teams having an entertaining battle, with minimal chances. Tring had the majority of possession, but Dynamos defence held strong, well marshalled by Rosner and Hodgins.
56 minutes and Dynamos almost snatched the first goal. Fulton and Boorn combined well in the centre and released Abu down the right wing, he cut inside and hit a great shot which was just blocked in time.
Soon after Fabian picked up a yellow card for a foul. Antonio soon followed with a strong challenge that was deemed to be a Yellow card as well.
79 minutes on the clock and the first goal arrived. Boorn with some excellent control and vision, played the ball over the top where Abu was first to react and raced through, beating the keeper easily to give Dynamos the lead. 1-0 Dynamos !
The Management made a couple of changes to freshen things up bringing on Cheston Prosper for his debut and Ollie Lawford as well, replacing Jack McKenzie and Baldwin.
Abu then made a strong challenge which the referee deemed to be another Yellow card…!?
Just as the game was coming to a close, on 89 minutes, Tring managed to get forward and a cross was converted as Tring broke Dynamos resistance and got the equaliser. 1-1.
There were a couple of half chances in the final frantic 4 minutes, but neither team could find the winner.
