After the defeat of St Ives last weekend and the general form that Aylesbury have shown over the past few weeks the FC fans that travelled to Uxbridge were expecting a much better performance from the men in silver than they were treated to. Uxbridge dominated the game and never looked like being beaten.
The home side were quick out of the block and had Aylesbury on the back foot from the off, they should have had a penalty early on when Danny Murphy looked to have fouled inside the area but the officials completely missed it. However their endeavour was rewarded on 27 minutes after James Warrington spilled a shot and Kev Warner was on hand to put in the rebound. FC did have their chances though, a Danny Murphy cross was headed wide by Lynton Goss and Price, Wadkins and French all had shot's saved.
HT 1-0
Three minutes into the second half and the game was effectively over, a great move on the left ended with Woods crossing, the ball fell at the feet of the on rushing Lewis Cole who smashed the ball past Warrington..
Aylesbury pulled one back with twenty minutes to go when his powerful shot went in off the underside of the cross bar which gave the away supporters some hope but Uxbridge restored their two goal cushion when Kyle Anthony tripped a Reds attacker in the box and Dave Thomas slotted home the subsequent penatly.
All in all a bad day at the office and Aylesbury will look to get back to winning ways at Burnham on Tuesday in the Berks and Bucks before Bedford Town visit Haywood Way next weekend
