Tuffley Rovers 2-2 AVDFC

Second game of the season saw Dynamos making the long trip to Tuffley Rovers for the FA Cup Extra Qualifying Round. The weather was raining pretty much all day. Paul Batchelor made just one change to the Dunstable line-up, bringing in Archie Henderson for Abdulah.

The first real action of the first half saw Tuffley take an early lead as their ball through was deemed onside and their striker converted into the bottom corner. 1-0 Tuffley
14 minutes in and Matthews rode one challenge and slipped the ball into Jake, he sidestepped his marker but his shot was saved.
A few minutes later, Brownsword moved the ball out to Pike and he raced away and hit a decent effort just over the bar as Dynamos looked the better team.
With 25 minutes on the clock, Sam Oluwale skipped past a challenge and raced towards the box, getting tripped up about 20 yards out Baldwin stepped up to take the free kick and scored his first goal of the season with a well taken free kick. 1-1.

A couple of minutes later Dynamos had the chance to take the lead. Some great feet from Tom Cove saw him race into the box and he got taken down by the Tuffley defender. Penalty to Dynamos.
Abu Khan stepped up to take, but the keeper guessed the right way and made a save.

35 minutes and Tom Cove collected a ball out from Matthews and hit a lovely cross onto the head of Abu, but his header was wide of the mark. In the middle Henderson was having a good game, breaking up play and spreading the ball out when he could.
42 minutes and Oluwale managed to beat his marker and hit a shot which the keeper parried away, into the path of Henderson who happily sidefooted the ball home to give Dynamos the lead. 1-2 Dynamos.

There was still time left for Brownsword to get a Yellow Card and Tuffley had a decent chance as their header went inches over.

Half Time: Tuffley 1-2 Dynamos

Dynamos didn't come out of the traps for the second half and Tuffley had an early chance which Charlie Jones made a decent save.
53 minutes and the pressure paid off...Tuffley managed to poke the ball past Charlie and equlalise. 2-2.

Dynamos won a free kick on the hour mark as Ashraf was pulled down 30 yards out. With the wind, Baldwin hit his free kick towards the top corner but the keeper made a great save, clawing it away.
69 minutes and the first Dynamos sub. Sam Oluwale made way for Jonathan Pascal.
Tuffley had another good chance which Jones made the save and 76 minutes saw the introduction of youngster Abdullah, coming on for Ashraf in the middle of the park.
The final change saw Harvey Matthews make way for Jude Thomson, making his debut.

2 minutes into the 8 minutes of injury time, Thomson curled a lovely ball to the back post and Pascal headed back across, but Tuffley cleared. Dynamos were the only team looking like grabbing a late winner.
A goalmouth scramble saw 2 shots blocked as Tom Cove and Abu both saw efforts cleared.
The final chance saw Pike hit a great cross and Henderson steamed through the middle with a diving header, but the keeper tipped the ball over...great effort....great save.
