Dynamos 3-5 Aylesbury Utd
Manager, Paul Batchelor, shuffled the pack from the Aston Clinton friendly to face an Aylesbury Utd team who have also made wholesale changes from the team that ended last season.
The early exchanges saw Dynamos start the better, although both teams created a couple of half chances, neither could break the deadlock. Abu Khan and Max Rosner both going close in the first 20 minutes.
The first goal came slightly against the run of play on 27 minutes, as United's No.9 found space and hit the ball past the keeper. 1-0 United.
2 minutes later United doubled their lead as a ball over the top beat Dynamos defence and No.9 was again free to slot the ball home. 2-0 United.
United claimed a penalty a few minutes later but it wasn't given...however a free kick on 33 minutes saw United take hold of the game with a great free kick. 3-0 United and the match looked done in the first half an hour.
So United score 3 goals in a mad 6 minutes...could Dynamos do the same to level it up????
It was time for a couple of trialists to step up....and that they did!
37 minutes and Dynamos pulled a goal back as a cut back was well converted.
Within a minute Dynamos were through again but Abu's shot was saved and hit the bar and over. So close.
Dynamos were on top and another chance came as a great passing move was finished off well by another trialist enjoying life in the Yellow and Blue. 3-2 United.
Two minutes later and Dynamos managed to level the score. The first scorer was on target again as Dynamos seemed to run riot for 5 minutes and amazingly equalise before half time.
Half Time: 3-3
48 minutes and Dynamos almost took the lead. United's keeper was well out of his goal and lost possession, but the shot looped over the keeper and hit the side netting. Close.
Both teams made a number of changes around the hour mark and it was United who got their noses in front again on 66 minutes with a decent header past the new keeper for Dynamos.
Abu had a chance to equalise again for Dynamos but the United keeper made a decent stop.
As the game entered the last couple of minutes, United managed to squeeze another goal in to make it 5-3 to them and seal the victory.
A great advert for local football in Aylesbury and a good game of football.
