B&B Senior Cup victory for Dynamos

Team: Liam Studley; Jake Baldwin, Luke Nugent, Jack Aldridge, Jack Hodgins; Antonio Ianelli, Dave Brown, Josh Boorn, Rio Deall, Abu Khan; Callum Shortt

Dynamos were back in Berks & Bucks Cup action on a cold, wet and blustery night in Winslow. Easty and Liam made a couple of changes, woth Jack Aldridge coming in for injured Terry Griffiths and Callum Shortt deployed up front. Antonio was also back in the line up to take on his former employers.

Winslow were the quicker team from the start, applying pressure early on and they had a shot within the first minute which went wide of the mark for former Dynamos, Harry Dalton.
It was nearly 10 minutes before Dynamos threatened at all, Abu played a ball over the top to Callum to run onto but the defender blocked his cross.
Winslow were clearly up for this and a great tackle from Jack Hodgins thwarted a decent shot from the Winslow player. The corner was swung in and Jack Aldridge did just enough to put off the attacking header which sailed over the bar.
Winslow kept up the pace and Nugs was next to get in a superb tackle, winning the ball and clearing his lines well. Looking like a long night ahead.

25 minutes and the best chance of the match. Rio picks up the ball in midfield and sends a delightful pass through to Josh Boorn, through on goal, the keeper makes a good save with his feet.
A few minutes later, Nugs won the ball and went on a mazy run, beating 4 players on his way into the box and unleashed a rocket which hit the side netting. Dynamos were slowly finding their feet as Winslow slowed.
Over half an hour and the ball was in the net...Abu with a great run and cross where Callum was free and slotted it home....however, the linesman gave offside...tight call...!

The majority of the half was mis-placed passes, long balls with too long or intercepted...that is until the last minute. A Winslow fee kick was easily dealt with by Nugs and the ball fell to Josh Boorn, he played a great ball to Callum who had one defender to beat. He jinxed around him and hit his shot past the keeper and into the net. 0-1 Dynamos.

Half Time: Winslow 0-1 Dynamos

Winslow came out quickly again and within a couple of minutes Studley made a decent save down low.
At the other end Brownie collected a ball from Antonio, and found space to hit a fierce drive which went wide of the post.

Winslow then looked to break but Callum managed to get in front of the player and took a Yellow card for his effort.
Easty and Liam made their first of 5 changes on 60 minutes bringing on Fabian Garcia for Jake Baldwin. Rio slotted into left back and Fabian was on the left wing.
A couple of minutes later, goalscorer Callum was replaced by Ollie Lawford up front.

65 minutes in and Winslow were all square again. A scrappy goal as both teams swung legs/heads at the ball, but they reacted quickest and grabbed a goal. 1-1.
67 minutes and U18's player Kris Collier was introduced, replacing Jack Hodgins who looked to have picked up a knock. Antonio slotting into centre back with Kris in the midfield.
Kris was straight into the action winning a great tackle in the middle...much to the delight of the Dynamos fans...but clearly not the referee who not only gave a free kick...gave Kris a yellow card!?!? Strange decision.

am Wood then came on for Abu Khan as Dynamos searched for another goal, also Harry Loakes was on for Luke Nugent as all 5 subs were now on the field of play.
Dynamos were then back in front in a somewhat fortuitous move. Studley grabbed a Winslow cross and set Sam Wood on his way. He ran the length of the pitch and passed inside to Brownie, he hit his shot which rattled the woodwork, hit the keeper and into the goal. 1-2 Dynamos.

There were still some twists and turns left in the game...Brownie made a rash challenge in the middle, earning him a Yellow Card. Harry Dalton, already on a yellow then lost out as Jack Aldridge nicked the ball from him, he took exception and pulled Jack back earning himself a second yellow and red card. Winslow were down to 10 for the remaining 9 minutes.

88 minutes and Winslow almost scored the equaliser. An attempted cross went over Studley and was definitely going in, but he managed to get a fingertip to it and tip it over. The resulting corner was smashed wide of the target.
Moments later another ball into the box was met by Winslow and the shot looked destined for the net, but Studley managed another fingertip save onto the post and away...cant get any closer.

Dynamos finally put Winslow to the sword in the 92nd minute. Harry Loakes with a long throw into the feet of Fabian, he beat his man, raced forward and played in Josh Boorn, he in turn released Sam Wood who was in acres of space on the left. He calmly slotted the ball past the keeper to make it 1-3 Dynamos.

Final Score : Winslow 1-3 Dynamos
