Moles Well Beaten by The Comrades and Bow Out of the League Cup

With Jordan Jenkins unavailable and Craig Carby suspended again there were changes tonight with Lewis Strafford moving to the centre of defence. This again was another lack lustre performance from Aylesbury which sees the Moles exiting the League Cup.

From the start it was Berkhamsted that were sharper in all areas of the field as The Moles struggled to do do the simplest things. In just three minutes the visitors had the ball in the back of the net but the goal was chalked out for offside. Will Summerfield then had a shot at goal which was saved at a comfortable height by Nick Bennion in the home goal.

The Comrades took the lead on seventeen minutes Matt Bateman beat the high defensive line, cooley rounded the onrushing Bennion and slotted home into an empty net. On thirty minutes James Towell had a powerful header at the front post but it whistled over the bar. Two minutes later Will Summerfield picked up the visitors' second of the night with a clinical finish to the bottom left hand corner. Again FC had gone through the half without having any impact on the away side's back line, not a worthwhile shot on goal.

The home side came out with a better attitude in the second half, Ryan Ware had a darting run, beat a couple of men in midfield, created space for a shot, and his low driven effort was deflected behind for a corner. A minute later and the game was over, The visitors broke quickly from the FC corner, the ball was worked to James Towell who slotted home low into the centre of the goal.

Berkhamsted were now well on top with FC going into their shells, a cross from Murphy was sliced over the bar by Derek Feyi, the ball almost dropping into the back of Aylesbury's net.

On sixty three minutes came Aylesbury's best chance of the game, a curling effort from range from the substitute Bruno Brito was tipped over the bar by Daley who had very little to do in the whole game. The game petered out with the away sides job done and FC unable to put together any meaningful possession or efforts on their goal.

Aylesbury have another chance to get back to winning ways on Saturday when Barton are the visitors in the League to Haywood Way
