Although it was FC's second loss in a week after the defeat at Uxbridge, no one will be bemoaning an early exit from the County Cup with more important League & Trophy games on the horizon.
Absent tonight were Ben Stevens who was in the second of a three match ban, Kyle Anthony and Sean Sonner. Coach Danny Gordon stepped in at Centre Back and Jamie Rudd replaced Sonny French who started from the bench. Burnham started nervously but took the lead on 16 minutes through Nathan Webb. The Moles had a chance to equalise soon after but Lynton Goss's penalty miss again summed up FCs evening which was full of error's. The equalising goal did eventually come on half time when Hewitt put through his own goal and the teams went in to half time all square.
The second half was dominated by Burnham who generally dominated the game with Kofi Lockhart Adams scoring on 58 minutes and Brad Hewitt and Tom O'Regan completing the scoring on 80 and 84 minutes.
Aylesbury now look forward to getting back to League action with the visit of Bedford Town this weekend.
