Aylesbury came away from Imperial Fields with a narrow 2-1 win after outclassing their South London opponents and as has been said many times this season, should have put the game to bed before halftime.

With Kyle Anthony and Adam Logie both unavailable, Connor Baker and Ben Stevens made up the centre of the defence, Gareth Price switched to the wing with Brian Haule leading the line.

The Moles pressed the home team and had many chances to take the lead in the first but just couldn't finish. But it was Aston Goss who converted in the 35th minute to give FC the lead as he finished from close range and took FC into a deserved half time lead.

It was a lead that was only to last a short time as, with the second half just a few minutes old, Ben Stevens was caught trying to play the offside trap and let in a Tooting striker to fire home to make in 1-1. Two minutes later though Brian Haule restored FCs lead, rounding the Tooting keeper on his left hand side and slotting the ball home.

Aylesbury continued to press as the half came to an end and although they should have scored more, progress to the 1st Qualifying Round of the Trophy where they will face Merstham at Haywood Way on the 1st November.
