From the rest of the starting line up at the weekend, James Weatherill kept his place in goal although Steve had another youngster, in ex Oxford United stopper Rory Golden on the bench and Sam Bateman replaced Jamie Rudd who started from the bench.

Buckingham had played an MK Dons Under 21 side at the weekend and had only lost narrowly 4-3 so this was going to be a good test.

On a pitch where the grass had been left long Aylesbury struggled to play their passing football but did dominate the first half and created a number of half chances which they couldn't dispatch. Bradley Wadkins dominated the midfield with his intricate skills but just couldn't find the killer pass. Aston Goss had a number of half chances and Brian Haule was dominant in the air.

On 35 minutes Wadkins got the ball out on the left hand side and whipped in a cross which Brian Haule and dispatched past the Buckingham keeper for his second goal in two games.

After the break there were a number of changes as players tired, FC lost their way a bit as Athletic, fielding a number of Aylesbury based players, came back into the game and ten minutes before the end one of those players Chris Davies drove into the box and fired passed James Weatherill from close range to equalise.

All in all another good work out as the team prepare for the visit of the Milton Keynes Dons this weekend.
