U16 Dynamos hit six in the B&B cup

Following on from our disappointing league performance last week, the U16 Dynamos welcomed MK Gallacticos to Haywood way in the Berks and Bucks cup.
With all players apart from Finn fit, we had the privilege of a few subs this week!

It didn't take us long to get going today. A few good passes from Billy, Ewan and Harry ended up with Levi putting us ahead after two minutes 1-0.

We were looking comfortable on the ball and were knocking it around nicely and after nine minutes we had another. A shot from Josh blocked which rebounded to him. Three passes between Josh, George and Teddy led to Harry sliding it past the keeper to make it 2-0.

MK were now starting to get a little agitated and a few tackles were flying in. Despite this, we were well in control all over the pitch and continued to play some good passing football. Our third goal was a great example of this.
Bobby released the ball to Charlie at left back. Between Charlie and Lucas the ball was worked well all the way up the left wing. Lucas cut inside and laid to Harry who's first touch was a through ball to Levi who struck it past the keeper 3-0.

We could have had more with shots from Harry, Josh and Kaiden came close with a header from a corner.

Half time

We started the second half very similar to the way the first half ended. Our defence very much involved in moving the ball around and both Teddy and Archie started to venture forward. Overlapping runs from Charlie was creating plenty of space on the left wing and Kyle was having a blinding game in Midfield getting stuck in to quite a few battles.
After 48 minutes Kyle played the ball to the middle of the pitch to Teddy. The space opened up and Ted drove into it with the ball. Unchallenged, he kept going and launched a shot from 25 yards, over the keeper and into the net for 4-0.

Our attacks continued and MK were getting more and more frustrated. Harry ended up being on the receiving end of quite a nasty tackle. George stepped up and curled the freekick over the wall and into the near top corner 5-0.

Four minutes later a moment of magic from Ewan led to a short pass for Levi to run into and walk around the keeper for his hat trick and a our sixth.

For the remainder of the match we chilled.

Good performance, especially off the back of last weeks disappointment.

Sadly, Lucas, Harry and Uthman all picked up injuries with Uthman breaking part of his wrist after landing awkwardly. We all wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him back soon.
Hopefully, Lucas and Harry will be fit in seven days when we go to Histon.
