Dynamos were in need of a victory and next up was George Green in the League Cup. This was the proverbial banana skin and the prize was a spot in the semi-final.
George Green started the stronger and within 6 minutes had opened the scoring. 1-0 George Green.
10 minutes in and Kai played the ball out to Aidan and his cross was met by Jonny but the keeper saved.
Dynamos were playing some good passing football in patches and Conor won the ball in the middle and passed to Alfie, he sprayed it out to Dylan and he hit a deep cross which was just too long for Kai.
20 minutes and George Green had a corner headed just over.
Dylan and Aidan then combined well to release Kai who hit his shot over the bar.
On the half hour mark Dynamos were still creating chances. Matt played a great long ball to Alfie who battled well and found Kai with a cross, but his shot was well saved.
The pressure finally told as Ryan collected a ball out from Matt and he sent a cross ball into Alfie. He controlled superbly and spun round, hitting his shot past the keeper to equalise. 1-1.

Half Time: George Green 1-1 Dynamos

Within a couple of minutes Conor won a tackle and played it through to Ryan, his cross found Mohammad but his shot went wide.
Mohammad was causing George Green problems and a good run and pass from Noah found Mohammad in space again but the keeper saved his effort.
Over an hour played and another half chance as Jonny battled well and squared the ball to Gabriel who hit his effort wide of the mark.
68 minutes and Dynamos grabbed the lead. Dylan played the ball into Mohammad and his shot was blocked but it fell to Ryan who calmly curled the ball round the keeper and into the net. 1-2 Dynamos.

A couple of minutes later Dynamos had the chance to seal the win. Dorian won the ball and played it up the line to Ryan and played Kai through on goal, he steadied himself and beat the keeper, but the ball went inches wide. So unlucky.
74 minutes and George Green were back level as their midfielder danced through the Dynamos defence and the ball fell to their attacker who scored. 2-2.

The last 10 minutes Dynamos were visibly tired and George Green finished the better team, but penalties were going to decide this match.

George Green were up first...Malaki flung himself to his right and made a superb save. SAVED !! (0-0)
Dynamos - Kai was up first...GOAL !! (0-1)
GG - Goal, well taken (1-1)
Dynamos - Alfie stepped up and sidefooted it home GOAL !! (1-2)
GG - Goal, decent penalty (2-2)
Dynamos - Dylan rifled his penalty top left, superb. GOAL !! (2-3)
GG - Wow...their player went straight and it rolled into Malaki's hands...SAVED !! (2-3)
Dynamos - Captain Luca smashed it home to put Dynamos through!! GOAL !!! (2-4)

WINNERS.

Well done to every player and a deserved win in the Quarter Final.

Not the greatest performance and still need to start stronger...but a victory is what we needed.
Ryan scored one and set one up on his return to the squad from injury. Also returning was captain Luca. Great performance from him and the winning spot kick as well. Khori was solid all match alongside Luca and played very well.
Conor battled well in the middle and made some important tackles and won some decent headers. Jonny is Mr.Consistent and again put in a superb performance driving the play forward.
Final mention for me is Malaki. Made some good saves in the match and the first penalty save was brilliant.
