Captain Luca with the winner...! Another 3 points.

AVDFC U18's 3-2 Penn & Tylers Green

Team: Malaki Wilkins; Matt Holland, Gabriel Marks, Luca Van Danzig, Noah Brownbridge, Khori Wilkins, Owen Broughton; Conor Willcocks, Dylan Eatwell, Jonny Buckthorpe, Alfie Garrad, George Whall, Ryan Western, Kai Borrett; Kyle Lawrence, Ed Scott

After last weeks victory, Damian demanded a fast start and take the game to Penn. We also welcomed Malaki into goal for a game to help out from the EJA squad and also a debut for Noah who was straight into the starting line up.

Penn cam out of the blocks quickly and had an early chance from a corner which they headed over. Penn had another couple of chances to cross but Matt and Noah, as the full backs, got in early blocks.
7th minute and Khori hit a great long ball into Kai and he played in Ed who had his shot blocked for a corner. The corner was just too long for Luca as the back post.

10 minutes in and a handball from Penn saw a free kick for Dynamos 20 yards out. Dylan was on free kick duty and spotted (as we all did on the sideline) a huge gap in the bottom left and Dylan happily sidefooted into that gap and straight in...! Great goal. 1-0 Dynamos.

With quarter of an hour gone Matt played out to Ed who came short to receive the ball. He played the ball into the box where Jonny challenged for the ball and it fell to Alfie. He steadied himself and drilled his shot low and "through" the keeper into the goal. 2-0 Dynamos.

A few minutes later some good work from Ed created a chance for Alfie but this time his shot was blocked for a corner. The corner came to nothing as Dynamos settled into a 2 goal lead.
24 minutes and Penn won a free kick as Owen was adjudged to have fouled. Their free kick was cleared by Luca and Ryan completed the clearance.

A few minutes later and Kyle jinxed his way through a couple of tackles and was eventually fouled. This time Owen stepped up but his shot went wide of the mark.
35 minutes and another chance for Dynamos. Conor played the ball out wide to Ryan and he crossed into Kyle. He took a touch and drilled his effort on target but a defender got in a good block.
Penn had a half chance before the half ended which Malaki saved easily and held onto the ball.

Half time: Dynamos 2-0 Penn

Dynamos carved out an early chance in the second half as Dylan controlled Khori's ball out and played the ball through to Kyle. His effort was blocked again and cleared.
Penn went down the other end and showed why they should not be taken for granted as their shot whistled over the bar.
Penn were now fired up and starting to slide in all over the pitch...some good challenges...some not so good, however, the referee seemed to be giving Penn all the free kicks.
They had a header go just over and then finally got a goal their pressure deserved.
66 minutes and another Penn attack saw George make a tackle in the box and take the player down. Referee gave a penalty...probably the right decision...and they scored. 2-1 Dynamos.

Four minutes later and Penn scored again. A long throw was headed on and then headed in as Penn made their pressure pay. Really poor few minutes from Dynamos and the match was all square.
Kai was then fouled as he moved forward and he took the free kick himself, hitting the wall and then curling the rebound to the back post but Luca was unlucky not to connect.

With 10 minutes to go, Dynamos looked to be on top again. Noah played a ball down the line to Kyle and he found Jonny in the middle. He sprayed the ball out wide to Ryan who crossed in, but Penn cleared the ball.
83 minutes and a Dynamos attack was cleared by Penn and the ball fell to Owen in the middle of the park. He launched the ball back into the box and the keeper saved...and then spilled the ball which fell to Luca in the box. He smashed it home from 4 yards out to give Dynamos a late lead. 3-2 Dynamos.

Final Score: Dynamos 3-2 Penn

Well...we certainly like to do it the hard way!! Khori had a decent 90 mins at the back, rarely losing a battle. Ed looked sharp up front and created some good chances. Alfie scored a great goal and Dylan also on the scoresheet with a well taken free kick.
Massive thanks to Malaki who helped out in goal this week with Jon still injured and Kian unavailable. Great debut for Noah as well, tackling well and did a great job in defence. Final mention to Captain Luca...solid performance and got the winner !!!
Well done all.
