U16's still unbeaten !

Risborough Rangers 1-3 AVDFC

Team: Jonathan, Jay; Luca, Hasan, Yusef, Conor, Bobby; Owen, Dylan, Corey, Ryan, Jake, Adam; Zola, Kai

Dynamos were away at Risborough looking for a second victory in the rain this Sunday. With Hudhayfah and Alfie out injured, it was good to see Adam available to make his debut for the Dynamos team.
The first meaningful attack was from Dynamos as Owen collected a ball from Corey and hit his shot over the bar.
A couple of minutes later Zola won the ball and found Dylan in the middle, he beat his man and played in Owen, this time his shot was deflected wide for a corner. Owen swung the corner in which found Zola who headed in an excellent goal. 1-0 Dynamos.
10 minutes in and Risborough had a good attack. The defence didn’t clear and they had a shot on target which Jonathan got a great hand to, saving it onto the bar and away. Lucky escape…!
Dylan then won the ball and played a ball through to Kai who won a corner. The corner came to nothing as Risborough cleared their lines.
Dynamos won another corner and Kai swung it in, this time finding Conor who had his shot blocked.
A Dynamos goal kick was then too short from Jonathan and Risborough took advantage but Jonathan made a great save.
23 minutes and Dylan hit a great free kick onto the head of Luca and his shot was blocked for another corner.
At the other end a tackle from Yusef was adjudged to be a foul and the referee pointed to the spot. Jonathan made a great save, diving to his left to smother the ball…! Great save.
33 minutes and Bobby cleared the ball down the line to Zola, who juggled the ball around and managed to get a shot away which went over the bar.
Risborough then had a couple of chances, the first was cleared by Conor and the 2nd chance saw a shot over the bar…when scoring looked easier.
39 minutes and another Yusef tackle in the box, this one looked a definite penalty and the referee agreed….penalty ! Risborough scored this and half time whistle went. 1-1.

Risborough started the second half with a half chance but Jonathan managed to make a decent save and Luca cleared his lines.
Ryan and Dylan then combined and Dylan played a ball down the line. Ryan won the ball and hit a decent cross which was just cleared by Risborough before Zola could get a shot away.
Hasan, who was having a decent game again, won a tackle and played a ball over the top for Adam to race onto. His shot went just wide of the far post.
With just under an hour on the clock, Dynamos managed to restore their lead. Dylan hit a superb pass into the box and Adam got on the end and hit a shot which was well blocked. Who came steaming in to smash the ball home? Hasan, all the way from left back position. Great goal. 2-1 Dynamos.
Just after Zola weaved his way through the defence and got a shot away which was well saved. The resulting corner was swung in by Dylan but Luca couldn’t direct his header on target.
72 minutes and another Dynamos free kick. Dylan swung the ball into the mixer and Adam, Ryan and Zola all had a chance with Zola finally heading over the bar.
77 minutes and Risborough were looking for an equaliser. Only a strong header from Luca saved a good chance and Conor got a boot on it to clear his lines.
With 80 minutes on the clock, Risborough had another great chance, this time Jonathan threw himself down to his right and held onto the ball.
The referee had added 3 minutes on and the game was almost over. Hasan played the ball out to Adam and he raced clear, crossing the ball to Kai (we all know what he is about) and he coolly slotted the ball home to give Dynamos a 3-1 victory with the last kick of the game.

So, another victory, but not the best of performances to be fair. However, a win is a win. Jonathan made a couple of smart saves during the game. Corey had a decent game in the middle, challenging and tackling well. Dylan, playing against his old team, hit some lovely free kicks/corners, one resulting in Hasan’s goal. Zola was his usual tricky self and Risborough struggled to handle him. Luca and Conor are becoming a formidable defensive pairing with another solid performance from both. Final mention though for me for Hasan who has a great game, passed well, tackled well and even got forward and scored a great goal. Well done lads, we go again against Harefield next Sunday.
