U15's Dynamos hit 6 past Ruislip

AVDFC U15’s 6-2 Ruislip Rangers Blue

Team: Edward, Jay; Dylan, Luca, Harley; Charlie, Owen, Dorian, Conor, Kai, Callum; Harrison

Finally, back in League action against Ruislip and only 12 players to choose from on a wet and miserable morning.
Mike asked for a fast start and pressure and straight from the kick off Dynamos pushed forward. Harley picked the ball up and pushed forward, playing the ball to Charlie who was operating on the left side, he beat his man and hit a great cross to Callum who did the rest and beat the keeper. 1-0 Dynamos.
5 minutes in and Ruislip’s first attack as their striker was first to the ball, but Edward came steaming out to make a great save.
Ruislip were set up to defend so Dynamos had a lot of the ball in the early part of the match. Luca, Harley and Dylan didn’t have huge pressure and were able to move up the pitch.
9 minutes and Harrison took a free kick 35 yards out which went straight through and only just wide of the target.
Over quarter of an hour played and Dynamos needed another goal. A header from Conor landed at the feet of Owen who took a long shot which went over the bar.
18 minutes in and Dorian won the ball and passed out to Callum. He raced down the left and found Charlie in the box, he produced a moment of brilliance with a little flick to Harrison who was 8 yards out and he doesn’t miss them…bang…2-0 Dynamos.
Two minutes later and Owen was adjudged to have fouled a few yards from the Dynamos box, not sure about that as Dylan and Conor were also battling there to win the ball…anyway, Ruislip hit a great free kick against the crossbar and as Dynamos players watched the ball land on the goaline…a Ruislip player reacted the quickest and tapped in.
2-1 Dynamos.
Dynamos then had 10 minutes of pure pressure. First up Callum again busy on the left and his cross made its way to Owen who hit his shot over the bar from 20 yards. Then Conor won the ball and played in Callum, but his shot was saved at the second attempt. Dynamos poured forward and Harrison then had a shot whistle past the post. Half an hour gone and Kai ran past his marker, into the box and hit a cross where Conor was waiting but the ball went inches over the bar. Then finally the 3rd goal arrived. Conor wont he ball and passed to Dorian who had some superb feet and then a great ball to Callum who raced through and beat the keeper into the far post. 3-1 Dynamos.
35 minutes and a rare foray forward for Ruislip but they came up against a resolute Luca who didn’t let them past and cleared his lines well.
The last action saw Conor win another header in the middle of the park which landed at the feet of Harrison. He side stepped his marker and hit a fierce shot which the keeper just held onto. Half Time 3-1 Dynamos.
The first action of the second half saw Harley make a great challenge to stop a breakaway. Edward then threw the ball back to Harley who surged forward. He beat a player, danced past another tackle and decided to hit a great shot at goal. The keeper saved and spilled it, and who was waiting there to tap it in…our very own Lineker…Kai to make it 4-1.
Within a minute Dynamos were attacking again. Charlie was clear and hit a shot which was blocked, the ball fell to Callum and his shot was blocked and then Conor had a chance and it somehow didn’t go in, think the post was involved too, and eventually Ruislip cleared. How did that not go in?
51 minutes on the clock and Dorian and Conor combined to find Owen on the edge of the area but his shot was saved by the keeper.
Five minutes later and Harrison collected a clearance from Dylan. He controlled it and played the ball to Callum but his shot went over the bar.
59 minutes and Dynamos scored again. Charlie won the ball and skipped past a couple of challenges. He found Owen who played it to Conor who poked it through to Harrison. Harrison was 25 yards out and hit a superb shot over the keeper and into the net. Superb strike…! 5-1 Dynamos.
Less than 20 minutes remaining and Dynamos pressure was relentless. Harrison was played in again by Charlie and his shot was blocked and came out to Kai and his shot was saved.
75 minutes and Harley played a long ball to Callum who found Conor on the edge of the box but his shot was saved.
A minute later and Ruislip got a goal with a great shot over Jay’s head into the back of the net. 5-2 Dynamos.
The last action saw Callum again winning the ball and he cut in, hit a shot which was blocked into the path of Kai who, again, was 3 yards out and tapped in his second and Dynamos 6th.
Final score Dynamos 6-2 Ruislip Blue

Great result for the boys and keeps us on the heels of the leading teams in the Division. Luca had a strong game at the back with a commanding performance. Harley had a fantastic match and unlucky not to score. Conor was strong in the middle winning many headers and should have scored. Kai, Callum and Harrison were all in fine form and all getting 2 goals each which they all deserved. Final mention to Charlie who was running the show in the middle and on the left, his skill and speed caused problems all match for Ruislip.
