AVDFC Development 5-2 Mill End

Michael East and Damian Eatwell have started the new Development team from scratch this season as this is a new venture for Dynamos Club to create a better pathway into the 1st team.
This was their 3rd friendly game as they continue to build their squad and faced a tough Mill End team on a hot day at Haywood Way.
Within the first 5 minutes Mill End looked stronger and a corner swung into the box was not dealt with and Mill End converted at the near post past George in goal. 0-1 Mill End.
A couple of minutes later a ball from Archie found Adrian in the box, he hit a first time shot but the keeper was equal to it.
Prince then came close as he rifled a shot which was saved, Jamie Carter got the rebound and hit it across the line but no-one was there to convert.
On the right wing Tafara Dube looked lively and his skill and vision picked out Jamie Carter wo lobbed the keeper…but over the bar as well. Dynamos were getting closer.
17 minutes and Mill End broke through the defence and beat Zammit with a decent shot to make it Dynamos 0-2 Mill End.
Gareth came on for Matt after 21 minutes.
23 minutes and Tafara went on a mazy run and hit a superb effort which crashed against the bar, bounced on the line, and was caught by the keeper. Great skill and so unlucky not to score.
The pressure finally paid off as James Young hit the perfect ball over the top to Prince who ran through and slipped the ball through the keepers leg to give Dynamos a lifeline. 1-2.
On the half hour mark James Young was the creator again as his free kick found Prince who headed over the bar.
36 minutes and Dynamos struck again. James Young and Prince combined to find Adrian Dinham on the edge of the area. He took one touch and curled a great effort into the top corner. Great strike. Score was now 2-2…game on.
Within 60 seconds Dynamos had completed an incredible turnaround. Jamie Carter collected a pass from Archie Clarke and sets Tafara away on goal. Tafara controlled the ball and unleashed a superb effort beating the keeper with ease and giving Dynamos the lead. 3-2.
With 5 minutes remaining, Mill End No.6 had an altercation with the referee and was asked to leave the field.
43 minutes and another goal…Jamie Carter swung in a corner straight to James Young who calmly volleyed the ball straight through the defence into the goal. Fantastic strike and Dynamos were 4-2 up.
Prince even had a decent chance to make it 5 in the final action of the half but just missed the target as Dynamos ran riot.

Apart from a long range effort from James Young, the first action of the second half was on 53 minutes which saw Jamie Carter and Adrian Dinham subbed off for Matty and Marcus.
Marcus was straight into action with his pace keeping the ball alive and hitting a cross to Archie Clarke, his shot was just parried wide by the keeper.
Dynamos made it a 5-star performance as James Young, again the architect and Prince combined to provide Jack Hodgkins with a simple tap in to make it 5-2 Dynamos.
Mill End did start to rally in the later stages. Oli Hassle making a great tackle and also heading clear on two occasions.
63 minutes saw the introduction of George Toddhunter for Rosh and a couple of minutes later Loui Bowman came on for Tafara Dube onto the right wing.
20 minutes remaining and Marcus shows great skill and composure to get a shot away but the keeper made a good save.
72 minutes on the clock and the final substitution saw Prince 2 come on for Gareth.
As the match came to an end, with the light fading quick Dynamos created two last chances. Firstly Marcus just fails to convert a cross from Prince and then some quick feet and great work from Loui Bowman saw him square to Marcus but again the keeper was equal to it.
