U13's Colts run out 8-6 winners in 14-goal thriller...!

YOUTH ROUND UP – 21st January 2024

We have had another weekend of postponements, this time due to water on pitches after they started to thaw out. The club pitches are still suffering, but hopeful they will start to become playable in the next week.

The U18’s EJA team had a tough match away at League Leaders, and unbeaten, Newport Pagnell. With high winds in the afternoon kick off, they lost 3-1 with Max Sato scoring the goal.

The U17’s Colts played the Referees Cup Match against higher division opposition in Ruislip Rangers and despite losing out 3-1, put in a decent performance. Alex Kasenza scoring the Colts goal.

Matt & Kevin’s U15’s Athletic were back to winning ways with an emphatic 11-0 win over Royston, putting them into 2nd place in the league. Callum Georgiou (4), Harry Walker (2), James Byrom, Charlie Morris, George Norris, Dylan Borrett and Emmanuel Omoniyi scoring the goals.
The U15’s Dynamos were in League Cup 4th Round action against Beaconsfield. Early strikes from Will Selby and Josh Sapwell put them 2-1 up. With the last chance of the match Beaconsfields long punt forward caught the defence out and ended up with the Dynamos keeper giving away a penalty which they scored. Unfortunately Dynamos lost out 4-3 on penalties.

Martyn Jones U14’s Dynamos had more success in their League Cup 4th round match, beating Prestwood Colts 4-1 to progress to the Quarter Finals.

The U13’s matches all went ahead this weekend and produced 29 goals in total…!
The Dynamos team won 5-4 in a close match with Ruislip Rangers and now sit in top spot in the league, still unbeaten.
Stef’s Youth team lost their first match in Division 4, losing out 4-2 to Gerrards Cross. Despite having more chances, they lost out.
In a 14 goal thriller at the club, the Colts ran out 8-6 winners against top of the table Aylesbury Town Corinthians. A very entertaining match by all accounts…!

Richard Evans reports that on a very boggy pitch in Marlow, and having many more chances, the U12’s Dynamos unluckily had to settle for a 1-1 draw. It was hard to play good football on the pitch, but Leroy managed to grab the goal from the penalty spot.
The U12’s Youth managed a decent 2-0 win away at Tring Tornadoes…but it could have been even more.
Finally the U12’s Colts recorded a rare win with a close win away at St Johns, 2-1. Charlie and Max scoring the winning goals for Velid’s team.

The U11’s Colts recorded a thumping 8-0 win against Downley Dynamos on a very challenging pitch. Working as a unit they managed to score 8 goals, with a special mention to Oliver Defriez for grabbing his first goal for the club.

In a set of VERY close matches, the U10’s team managed to Win 1 and Draw 3 of their 4 matches at the club, against local rivals, Aylesbury United. Goals from Jacob (3), Noah (3), Harrison, Rhys, Kai and Ryan.

Jonny’s U9’s Dynamos had a mixed bag of results with 1 win, 1 draw and 2 losses against a decent Ruislip Rangers team.
Chris Milburn’s U9’s Youth teams won 2 and lost 2 with their games against Seer Green. Both teams played some excellent football on a very muddy pitch.

Daniel Webb’s U8’s team recorded 1 win and 3 losses against a very good Flackwell Heath team. All matches were very close and two of the losses were by 1 goal in an even contest.
