Youth Football Update – 21/22 & 28/29 October
With half term and waterlogged pitches, the number of matches was greatly reduced over the past couple of weeks…however, many AVDFC teams were still in action.
The U18’s Floodlit team got a superb victory away at Berkhamsted on Monday night with a very impressive 4-2 win. A hat-trick from Kyle Lawrence and a goal from captain Kenzo Konate sealing the win. That is 6 goals in 5 games for Kyle in that team now.
Iain & Damo’s U18’s Dynamos team also got another victory, this time seeing off Penn & Tyler’s Green, 3-2. A free kick from Dylan Eatwell and great finish from Alfie Garrad putting them 2-0 at half time. Penn levelled the match, but Captain, Luca Van Danzig scoring the winner with 10 minutes left.
James Moore’s U17 Dynamos travelled away to Cheshunt on Sunday against unbeaten leaders and were beaten 4-2. Goals from Sam Hughes and Jaden Sandiford not enough for Dynamos. They remain in 3rd place in the table.
U17’s Youth had a tough 6-0 loss at home to Chalfont Saints, who remain unbeaten in the league. The U17’s Colts, with Arron Russell managing, lost out 2-0 to Ruislip Rangers and remain bottom of the table at this early stage of the season.
Woody’s U16’s Dynamos have not got going this season in a tough EJA division. They lost 5-3 away at Dunstable last week and also lost this weekend 3-1 at Tring Athletic. Archie Long, Kyle Tshuma and Harry Norman scoring at Dunstable and Finlay Reeves grabbing the goal at Tring.
The U16’s Colts also suffered a loss last weekend at the hands of Chinnor Youth, 4-1, reports Manager, Richard Baber. A disappointing result after grabbing a draw against them the previous week. This week they suffered a 6-0 defeat to a very good Datchet team.
The U16’s girls have had 2 losses in 2 weeks also. Last week losing out 9-0 to Bishops Stortford and this week losing 3-1 to St Albans Girls, Ana Quinn getting the only goal for Dynamos.
Good news in the County Cup as Matt & Kevin’s U15’s Athletic cruised into a 4-0 lead against Downley Dynamos. The opposition got a couple of late goals back, but goals from Dylan Borrett (2), Mason Leech and Owain Perry were enough to secure a spot in the next round.
The U15’s Dynamos continued their 100% start to the season with another good result, defeating Haddenham 4-1. Beau Kennedy on the scoresheet again with 2 more goals taking his tally to 9 this season in only 6 games. William Bowes and Saif Ali-Khan the other scorers.
Martyn and Ben’s U14’s Dynamos continue their good start with a 13-1 demolition of Elmhurst in the County Cup, comfortably going through to the next round.
The U14’s Colts team grabbed a great 2-2 draw against unbeaten Wycombe Town in Division 6. Josh Smith and Alex Willington with the goals.
Graham Goulding’s U13’s Dynamos remain unbeaten in the league with a 2-1 over Gerrards Cross, but they were made to work for it. Losing 1-0 at half time, they managed to grab 2 fairly late goals to secure a deserved victory. A ball into the box from Jayden resulted in an own goal and a great strike from Alfie Terrell with the other goal.
The U13’s Youth won 11-2 last weekend to maintain their unbeaten record. In Division 5 they have scored 35 goals in 4 games…meaning the League have promoted them upto Division 4, where they will face the Dynamos team now…! AVDFC derby alert…!
The U13’s Colts had a very rare result in Youth Football, playing out a 0-0 draw against Thame United Dragons.
With the South Bucks league having 2 weeks off for half term the final result to bring you is the U13’s Girls Yellow who were so unlucky to lose 5-4 in their match. Jessica Ansley continuing her impressive scoring record as she scored all 4 goals.
Next week, weather permitting, we will have a full set of results as the youth football will all be back in action.
