Tomorrow FC entertain Royston Town

Tomorrow FC entertain Royston Town

Admin admin25 Oct 2013 - 12:00

After the events of this we get back to League action on Saturday with a tough game against fifth placed Royston Town.

Royston Town are the visitors to Haywood Way on Saturday and arrive having been unbeaten in four League games and having beaten Barton in the Red Insure cup during the week. Leading Scorers Robbie Mason and Craig Hammond both have 8 goals to their name and so it promises to be a tough afternoon for New Interim Manager Jon Franklin and the Management team of Fraser and Keith.

Last season FC drew with Royston at Haywood Way early in the season with a goal from Brian Haule and in the reverse fixture in January Royston were 3-2 victors, Aylesbury's goals coming from Luke Abraham and Sonny French.

Speaking to the Website New Interim Manager Jon Franklin commented "I have agreed to step in and assist Keith Walker and Fraser following Craig's resignation this week until the club make a long term decision which I know won't be made immediately.

There is little point in looking back as what is done is done, obviously immense disappointment to go out of the Trophy last week but now we have to move on.

Tomorrow we welcome Royston who are currently enjoying a good start to the season and I hope that continues after this game.

It as always has been difficult to recruit players in such a short time with most quality players attached to clubs and those clubs quiet rightly expect the proper approaches to be made as we as a club would expect.

We have targeted strikers as a priority unfortunately two we were hopeful of recruiting have taken up other options.

The squad is lacking depth making it difficult to cover injuries and more importantly to influence a game from the bench. I along with Wally and Fraser will do out utmost to strengthen but this will not happen over night.

Lamby is not fit for tomorrow with an ankle injury, Jack Thomson unavailable due to work commitments and Ben picked up a hamstring injury in training Thursday night, hopefully he will come through.

Look forward to seeing you down there and please get behind the team"
