Tomorrow FC entertain Beaconsfield SYCOB

The Moles are back in action at The Affinity Investments Stadium, tomorrow Saturday 29th March KO 3PM

Beaconsfield are sixth in the table just outside the play off place and will be keen to continue their good run which has seen them win 6 of their previous 9 games and will prove a tough test.

Boss Craig Faulconbridge commented "The last week has seen us defeated at the hands of Uxbridge in a game that was a little hard to swallow as we dominated for large periods but were undone again through sloppy defending. It seems defending and defenders, not just at the back, seem to have lost the bite and we need it back sharpish!! We played a very weakened Woodford team on Tuesday night and what pleased me was the professional nature we approached the game, it would have been easy to coast through the game and probably win 2 or 3 nil but, as a team, we certainly didn’t do that and a 7 nil win did more to boost confidence and allow out attackers to reap the fruits of some very good interplay. I have been especially pleased with the introduction of Stuart Bryant and young Jack Page who came into the side and suffered 3 straight defeats even though their individual performances probably warranted more. Stuarts goal showed you ‘sometimes’ don’t have to walk the ball in and score the perfect goal, although some of the play was extremely pleasing to see.

We are also on the verge of welcoming Ben Stevens back from injury who has seen his son born over the last week, a huge congratulations for him and welcome to fatherhood and some sleepless nights to come, another player returning to us is Ronayne Marsh-Brown, his professionalism, quality and organisation has certainly been missed at the heart of the defence and will certainly be a huge bonus moving towards the end of the season and looking forward to next.

Saturday see’s us welcome Beaconsfield to the Affinity Stadium on the back of an extremely good run of form which has seen them on the verge of the playoffs. Their pace and direct play will certainly test our way of play but if we play the way we have done and cut out the sloppy mistakes we certainly won’t fear them and look forward to pushing them all the way.

I hope everyone enjoys the game and I look forward to the drums and the support we have received which is great to see…"
