Brownie was a big part of the Aylesbury FC setup, and held multiple roles at the club alongside Danny Martone, Mike Farquharson and Steve Macdonald to name a few.
Brownie was a big supporter of the coming together of the 2 clubs a few years ago and was a regular at home games helping with hospitality and making travelling committees feel welcome and chatting to them about his extensive knowledge of non league football.
He spent many a game stood on the ramp with Tony Masella and Wally analysing the performance of the lads in front of him.
We have fond memories or FA cup away games where his name would be first on the coach list and when someone cracked open a beer before 12.00pm, him saying ‘it’s not even 12 yet!! ….Oh go on then, I’ll have one!’
Brownie was a fountain of knowledge to us as we found our way around the club and the league. He has been sorely missed at the club the past few months and the news yesterday was very sad.
Our thoughts go out to Louise and his lovely family. He was one of a kind and will forever hold a place in our hearts.
Cheers Brownie.
We’ll miss you pal.
