Kettering have had an excellent start to the season and are 7 points ahead of Aylesbury. The Northamptonshire side who were beaten in last year's play off final by Slough Town after letting a two goal first half lead slip are most people's favourites to gain automatic promotion.
In May 2014, it was announced that manager Dean Thomas had stepped down as team manager. It was then confirmed that former player, Brett Solkhon had returned to the club for the 2014–15 season. Kettering appointed former assistant Thomas Baillie and coach Scott Machin as joint managers of the Reds.
