Whilst staying safe with the rest of the country, Lockdown 2.0 gave us the opportunity to complete a few projects that had been on the horizon. Thanks to grants from the Football Foundation that we had secured in the summer, we have had the contractors in working hard to put up our new pitch side fence, finally replacing the old wooden slatted fence that frankly had seen much better days!

On top of that we have had a dedicated team of volunteers building the fourteen goals that we also purchased partly through the Football Foundation grants scheme, including new "Premier League" style goals on the Stadium pitch, along with bright yellow and blue box netting.

After a testing couple of months the main pitch is now water free, and the hard work that was put into all the pitches over the summer has paid off and they are finally draining and recovering. All the playing surfaces were verti drained during this enforced break again funded by grants we have received to maintain all the pitches at Haywood Way.

Our T-bar and seating area is now also complete, again funded by VAHT and grants, meaning we can offer hot and cold refreshments both at our Saturday games and for the youth football on Sunday mornings.

Slowly but surely we are improving the ground and surrounding pitches. It is an ongoing project and one that comes with huge financial strains as well as hundreds of hours of hard work for all involved and we thank each and everyone of you for your hard work.
