Today The Moles entertain The Ducks in the second DERBY game of the season at Haywood Way KO 7.45PM

After eight games undefeated The Moles go into tomorrow's game against Aylesbury United full of confidence and hoping to gain the bragging rights for the second time this season. When the two teams met in August FC dominated the game and came away with a well deserved 3-1 win Ducks 1 - The Moles 3 Much though has changed since August. Manager Craig Faulconbridge has left, replaced by Steve Bateman and there has been an influx of new players and with all the bad weather since December it's only now, with a string of games played in a row that Moles fans are beginning to see the changes implemented by Steve coming to fruition.

Everyone is looking forward to what will be a Cup type atmosphere including Manager Bateman "We come into the Derby unbeaten in 8 and looking to add to that following Saturdays comfortable win at home to a spirited North Greenford United FC and the midweek draw against the then league leaders Rugby Town FC whom we should really have beaten.

It's a measure of the progress we are starting to make as a team that whilst unbeaten, we are disappointed when only earning a point for our efforts and I have been working hard at instilling a winning mentality into the group of players we have.

One major disappointment from the weekend game, was the unfortunate head injury suffered by Danny Burnell, who will be spending a second night in Stoke Mandeville under observation following the blow he suffered in the first half and I wish him a full and speedy recovery.

We are now at the beginning of a very busy period of matches as we play again on this Thursday and next in addition to the Tuesday nights and Saturdays and the depth and strength of the squad will be tested fully I am sure, at a time when we already have lost Tom Cutts and Sonny French for the immediate future. It was therefore encouraging to see young Ken Feyi perform so well after coming on fro Danny and the way he took his goal and created the penalty opportunity shows he is certainly one to watch for the future. I am a firm believer in "if you are good enough you are old enough" and the only way to really find out is to give young players a chance and encourage them.

So a tough game in prospect tonight, please continue to get behind the lads and give them all the support you can as we look to keep the local bragging rights we earned in the August fixture and more importantly keep our good run going."

On the playing front joining long term absentee Tom Cutts are Sonny French and after Saturday's game Danny Burnell looks very doubtful.

Matchday Squad: James Weatherill, Simon Sweeney, Steve Perkins, Ben Stevens, Conner Baker, Kevin Mealor, Adam Logie, Lamar Simpson, Sam Batema, Ollie Burgess, Jamie Rudd, Bradley Wadkins, Ollie Hogg, Gareth Price, Brian Haule, Ken Feyi
