Over the past couple of weeks the club have been in conversations with the management team. James Green made us aware a couple of weeks ago he was stepping down from his role as joint manager. James and his wife have recently had a baby, and the sleepless nights and commitment of running a team have meant he is missing vital time with his son. We completely understand his decision and understand the importance of time with family. We look forward to seeing dad and Son (and Grandad Dave) down Haywood Way cheering on the Dynamos throughout the season.

This brings us on to Jordan King. Ever the perfectionist, Jordan has spent the past 2 weeks thinking about his role at the club and his input. Jordan took on the role with his right-hand man Greeny, and after much deliberation has decided to step down also from the first team role. Again, a decision we respect, BUT not stepping away from the club. Jordan will be stepping into the role of Director of football. We feel that Jordan’s local football knowledge and expertise is a perfect combination to aid him in player transfers, recruitment, scouting and club promotion, working closely with the first team management and committee. One of his first tasks will be to help recruit a new first-team manager and coach.

We thank both the lads for the past 7 months and wish them all the best in the future. We also congratulate Jordan on his new role. We are sure he will rise to the occasion and do a great job.

So we now have vacant positions at the club. To work alongside the manager/coaches, we have a very good Physio and goalkeeper coach. The club has a network of players feeding through from the 38 youth teams (over 700 players), as well as an u23 squad, so the player pathway is in place having had several u18 players making first-team appearances last season. We have a competitive budget for the right candidate and pride ourselves on being a friendly approachable club looking to progress.
