Aylesbury FC U18’s continue their foray in The FA Youth Cup on Wednesday evening (20th September) with an away fixture at Hendon FC, with kick off at 7:30pm.

The Young Moles come into this game on the back of two consecutive wins to start the season, keeping clean sheets in both games.

Previewing the game, U18 Manager Dan Turney commented “Again it is a great occasion for the lads which we’ve earned through our performance in the previous round. Obviously we’re coming into the game on the back of two wins so there will be confidence within the squad, but the lads know that previous performances count for nothing on the night.

“Whilst we’ve started the season well, it is important to savour each victory as it comes whilst remembering that we’re only two games into what could be a long season for us if we’re able to progress as we believe we can on all fronts this season.

“In each and every game you have to earn the right to win. Nothing is handed to you on a plate. Even more so with the FA Youth Cup being such a prestigious competition. We need to be looking at producing the same level of performance as we did in the second half against Abbey Rangers last week to give us a good chance of progressing.

“If we are able to perform and progress through a couple of rounds there is a chance that we can come up against one of the bigger teams and have the opportunity to play at their ground which would be a great experience for both players and coaches alike.”

Team News:
No fresh injury concerns, only Anthony Woodley ruled out. Archie Clarke and Juan Quintero included in the squad for the first time this season, in place of Henry Richmond and Aaron Wilkinson respectively.
