It's FA Cup time again this weekend and the Moles will travel to Premier Division Side Chesham United. The FA Cup brings with it all the tradition of the best Cup competition in the world. It also bring kudos to the non-league clubs that progress, the excitement of getting to the First Round Proper, possible encounters with "League Sides" and of course the financial rewards that come with it, rewards that at this level are very welcome!
FC have only played in the FA Cup for the last 7 years and in 2009/10 had our best year, going out at the 4th Qualifying Round stage to Wealdstone. That Cup run included a 4-3 win against The Generals with a hat trick from Craig Henney and one from Gareth Price.
There will be added spice to the game as crowd favourite Brad Wadkins joined Chesham last season and FC have ex Generals Jeanmal Prosper and David Lynn in the ranks.
Any replay will take place at Haywood Way on Tuesday with a 7.45pm Kick Off.
On the playing front both Danny Murphy and Gareth Price are still struggling with injury but the rest of the squad is in good shape.
